It's good to know people are interested in things like that. The only one I can remember is "Etcetera," but I have been focused on nothing but drawing pictures for five years.
I'm spanish, and in spanish latin expressions like "etcetera" (usually just "etc") are pretty common, "idem" (equal "ditto") is normal too, so i'm not really that cult or anything, haha. However, i studied humanities in high school, and i'm actually pretty interested in languages, being latin one of the most interesting for me. I'm even in the middle (maybe the final road) of making a reform of spanish.
But it's great you can focus in one thing! Can i ask you about your objective in life? (aka why do you draw for)
I guess there's a lot that I draw for. I first started when I was in the third grade after seeing the spawn movie. I had become familiar with the comics and tried to draw spawn constantly. I was pretty aimless for a while until middle school when I purchased a volume of Ranma 1/2. From then on I was very interested in anime, and I got a lot of experience drawing Japanese characters. I was also a fan of Dragon ball long before that but Ranma felt a lot closer to me for simple reasons, so I decided to go into animation and I came to DA searching for teachers. Then in High school I discovered that I had Gender Identity Disorder, Which it's pretty easy to understand now, but to find this all out from cartoons and animation created a real bond for me to the art. I really loved Pocahontas, Ranma, Power rangers and such shows and I would imitate female characters. After I started studying cartoons and animation from John K I. I started to feel like I could really make a life working in comics and animation. I also want to be highly demanded and have a unique way to myself and my work.
In short, I work and study art, and ironically manliness, constantly because it's a way to become the person I want to be. Which would be an artist of all kinds, because I'm going to study martial arts as well. I want to be well rounded as a person and totally independent. And finally I want, maybe not to become as I'm reluctant, but to at least live life as a woman. I hope I can be attractive which has unfortunately become very important to me. This may be a lot of information to absorb, but I don't want to lie about it. I don't ever plan to marry though, nor do I desire to have too many acquaintances.
I'm very sorry if knowing this upsets you, but my feelings have been bothering me about this. to no end almost.
Why would this upset me? I'm extremely interested in knowing people feelings and stories. In fact, i have to thank you. Thank you for share them with me! Your thoughts are quite interesting, i must say. Talking only about art, knowing an artist backstory is higly valious! So in any way you are helping me.
Also, i love to talk. So if "your feelings have been bothering you" you can feel free to discuss that or anything with me. Expressing them are the best way to understanding, i sincerely think!
Thank you, that's very kind. The reason they've bothered me is because a friend of mine questioned me about my sexuality. I told her that I didn't want to talk about it but she kept pushing for an answer so I hung up. It's been hanging over me since then.
